A traditional Pre-Convention Meeting will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019, 10 AM at St. David’s Church, Kinnelon.
The Rev. Carlye J. Hughes was chosen XI Bishop of the Diocese of Newark during a special convention on May 19, 2018 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Morristown.
The Rev. Carlye Hughes of the Diocese of Fort Worth was elected XI Bishop of Newark at a Special Convention convened in the context of a Eucharist held May 19, 2018 at St. Peter’s Church in Morristown, NJ. The event was livestreamed in two parts.
The electing convention for the XI Bishop of Newark will take place this Saturday, May 19 in the context of a Eucharist held at St. Peter’s Church in Morristown beginning at 10 AM. Voting will begin after the completion of the Liturgy of the Word, at approximately 11 AM. Once voting is concluded and the bishop-elect has been announced, the Eucharist will continue with the Holy Communion.
