Youth Ministry
The Diocesan Youth Commission (DYC) will work to promote youth ministry as a priority in the Episcopal Diocese of Newark; as well as work to encourage and support youth leaders, local parishes, and regional ministry networks in their ministry to youth (grades 6-12). The Diocesan Youth Commission’s ministry is grounded in our Baptismal Covenant found in the Book of Common Prayer, which guides us as we work to invite, inspire, affirm, and equip youth as disciples of Jesus Christ and as leaders in their communities. The Diocesan Youth Commission sponsors diocesan wide youth events, advocates for youth in leadership across all aspects of the diocese and reinforces the confirmation programs of local parishes with an annual retreat.
