This Mission Minute shows the ambitious, modern-day pilgrimage undertaken by Bishop Mark Beckwith and members of the Episcopal Diocese of Newark of walking across the entire diocese from the Delaware River in Belvidere to the Hudson River in Hoboken, a journey of more than 80 miles, during six days in July 2016.

Attendees at the Listening Tables in 2016 saw a presentation by Paul Shackford and the Rev. Ginny Dinsmore illustrating our diocese's journey of Joining God in Shaping Our Future, and our next steps, using the metaphor of crossing a river as we go from the old way of living to a new way of living.

When a loved one is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or other form of dementia, it can be life-changing for the entire family. Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive brain disease that destroys memory and thinking skills and eventually, the ability to carry out the simplest tasks of daily living. It is the most common cause of dementia and impacts over 500,000 New Jerseyans.
