The electing convention for the XI Bishop of Newark will take place this Saturday, May 19 in the context of a Eucharist held at St. Peter’s Church in Morristown beginning at 10 AM. Voting will begin after the completion of the Liturgy of the Word, at approximately 11 AM. Once voting is concluded and the bishop-elect has been announced, the Eucharist will continue with the Holy Communion.
For those who want to follow the electing convention online, it will be livestreamed to YouTube in its entirety, and the results of each ballot, and the announcement of the bishop-elect, will be posted on the diocesan website, Facebook page, Twitter feed and Instagram feed.
