Church Pledge Deadline

Each congregation's annual 2012 pledge is due to the Finance Office by this Friday, December 9. Letters and individualized pledge cards were sent to the clergy and wardens in each congregation, indicating the current 2011 pledge as well as additional information, to assist the clergy, wardens, and vestries in determining their pledge.

A summary of pledges, by congregation, will be printed in the upcoming Voice, so it is important that each pledge be received on time.

Financial Audits Deadline

Title 1, Canon 7, Sec. 5:

All accounts of Parishes, Missions or other institutions shall be audited annually by an independent Certified Public Accountant, or independent Licensed Public Accountant, or such audit committee as shall be authorized by the Finance Committee, Department of Finance, or other appropriate diocesan authority.

As reports continue to trickle in about damage to church property from Hurricane Irene -- the Diocesan Property Manager, Jim Caputo, is aware of at least 18 congregations dealing with insurance claims -- we want to make sure you're aware there are resources available from Episcopal House to assist you in this process.
