[Passaic Valley Today] Officers with the Little Falls Police Department have kicked off a program so they can talk to residents in person more frequently.

The department hosted its first event for the program, called Coffee with a Cop, on Aug. 3, from 10 a.m. to noon, in The Falls Kitchen restaurant. A program that exists nationwide, its goal is to strengthen the relationship between police and residents in the community.

The week of July 25-30, 2016, Bishop Mark Beckwith and members of the Episcopal Diocese of Newark completed an ambitious, modern-day pilgrimage: they walked across the entire diocese from the Delaware River in Belvidere to the Hudson River in Hoboken, a journey of more than 80 miles.

[The Jersey Journal] Bishop Mark Beckwith and members of the Episcopal Diocese of Newark marked the end of a six-day, 80-plus mile pilgrimage across the entire diocese yesterday with a service of thanksgiving at Pier A Park in Hoboken.

"Joining Jesus on the Journey: A river-to-river pilgrimage across NJ" started at the Delaware River in Belvidere on Monday.

This year St. Alban’s, Oakland/Franklin Lakes joined The Church of St. Luke and St. Mary of Hope and Belvidere to sponsor their first joint youth mission trip, “Serving in the Son.” The week was based at Trinity Church in Asbury Park and included work in the parish food pantry and soup kitchen, as well as reclaiming some unused space for ministry and participating in the weeknight Taize service.

The sound of children’s voices, drums and other percussion instruments filled St. Alban’s Church in Oakland/Franklin Lakes from June 20-24 as Sacred Sounds Music Camp returned for a highly successful week. Forty-seven elementary children and 23 junior high schoolers joined 13 professional and volunteer adults in an exciting and rewarding week of faith, music and fellowship.
