With sadness we share the news of the passing of John Timothy McGirr on Tuesday, January 20 in Norwood. John was the husband of the Rev. Joyce McGirr, who was ordained to the Priesthood on January 10 and is serving as Priest Associate at Church of the Atonement in Tenafly.

Visitation will be held Friday January 23 from 4-7 p.m. at Barrett's Funeral Home, 148 Dean Street, Tenably, NJ. The Celebration of John's life and Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday January 24 at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Communion, 66 Summit Street, Norwood, NJ.

On Sunday, January 11, 2015, All Saints' Church in Millington co-hosted a vigil marking the anniversary of the disappearance of local resident David Bird. Bird, then age 55, did not return from what he reportedly told his wife would be a short walk on January 11, 2014, triggering a massive search and investigation that is still ongoing.
