Scholarship Funds

The Union of Black Episcopalians (UBE) scholarship program is open to all high school seniors who are actively engaged in the life, work and ministry of an Episcopal Congregation in the Episcopal Diocese of Newark. Application deadline for the 2020-2021 academic year: Friday, April 3, 2020.

The Gertrude Butts Fund, a non-profit corporation organized in 1929, and closely affiliated with the Diocese of Newark, seeks applicants for the 2020-2021 academic year. The application deadline is May 4, 2020.

Established by The Rt. Rev. George E. Rath, 7th Bishop of Newark, this education fund provides children of canonically resident clergy with extra financial assistance for college expenses at accredited four-year education institutions. EXTENDED Application Deadline: May 22 (for the academic year beginning in the Fall).
