Established by The Rt. Rev. George E. Rath, 7th Bishop of Newark, this education fund provides children of canonically resident clergy with extra financial assistance for college expenses at accredited four-year education institutions. EXTENDED Application Deadline: May 22 (for the academic year beginning in the Fall).
The application must be received by the Bishop's Office on or before the application deadline. We ask that you strive to complete and submit the application along with the required documentation by the deadline; if this is not possible, please email Kay Lark at email@example.com to request as specific an extension as possible.
The application is one page and is attached below in PDF format for download. The application must be complete and with original signatures. Fax or email submission is required for the May 2020 applications unless impossible (please inform Kay Lark if impossible).
Children of canonically resident clergy or of deceased clergy who were canonically resident in the Diocese of Newark at the time of death. The applicant must have been accepted or currently enrolled at an accredited four-year institution of higher learning.
The two senior members of the Standing Committee assist the Bishop in determining the awards.
Award notifications are emailed to and checks are mailed directly to the student so please include current contact information.
