Christophany is a fun, faith-filled weekend away for youth in grades 6-8. Older teens lead them in songs, games and conversations about how faith fits into their everyday lives. What could be better than that?!

Happening — A Christian Experience is a fabulous program for youth in grades 9-12 to make new friends, relax and have lots of fun in a safe environment while exploring their own spirituality.
For Confirmation in Spring 2013, Confirmation Registration forms for youth 18 and under AND a “Best Guess” for adults to be confirmed/received/reaffirmed are due Friday, December 14, 2012. Youth must be in 8th grade or higher to be eligible for Confirmation.
Once again our youth have the opportunity to continue to play major roles at our diocesan convention! Teens in grades 10-12 are enthusiastically encouraged to serve in the following roles:
On Saturday, January 12 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. the diocese will host a Young Adult Ministry Visioning Summit at the Church of St. Andrew & Holy Communion, South Orange.
Please nominate two young adults age 18-33 from your congregation (preferably one male and one female) to attend this free gathering where we’ll ask them for ideas to make the church more relevant to and life-giving for them.
On Friday night, September 21, over 30 teenagers from Grace Church in Madison, St. Paul’s Church in Chatham, Grace Church in Newark, and St. Stephen’s Church in Milburn gathered to “keep watch.” The overnight, hosted by the Revs. Tom Murphy, Brent Bates, Megan Sanders and Mary Davis at Grace, Madison, was the first in a series of events planned for District 4 Youth.
The Teen Group of Grace Church in Nutley spent an exciting week in Massachusetts at Overlook Farm of Heifer International. The group spent four days working on an organic farm, developing a better understanding of global hunger and poverty.
Sales have been brisk for Jack's Homemade Dog Biscuits.
Children at Grace Episcopal Church made hundreds of the dog biscuits and are selling them at $5 a bag to raise money to get a service dog for Jack Harter, a 6-year-old Madison boy who has a disease that leaves him with little mobility and no way to consistently communicate.
The dog biscuits will be on sale at the Downtown Concert Series on Friday and at Bottle Hill Day.
Update 11/06/12: Due to Hurricane Sandy, this event has been rescheduled from Saturday, November 10 to Saturday January 12, 2013. Find out more.
