To mitigate risk during the COVID-19 pandemic, Bishop Hughes has directed that:
- Effective Dec. 14, 2020, the revised Journey Forward guidelines will be in effect. Most counties in the diocese are currently at a critical risk level, limiting in-person worship to those required to be present to lead worship or provide recording/live streaming support. As counties move into high risk level, as noted on covidactnow.org, in-person worship may take place according to the Journey Forward guidelines, with the following maximum limits:
Outdoors - 50 people
Indoors - 25 people or 35% capacity of the room, whichever is lower
See the Quick Reference Guide for recommendations based on your county's risk level.
In addition, Bishop Hughes has directed that the following practices will continue through June 2021:
- Episcopal House staff will continue to work remotely.
- All diocesan meetings will continue online.
- All Episcopal Visitations will continue online.
These practices will be re-evaluated in April 2021.
