Celebration of the Feast of Absalom Jones (rescheduled)

The Newark chapter of the Union of Black Episcopalians (UBE) invites you to attend the annual Absalom Jones Day celebration at Trinity & St. Philip's Cathedral in Newark. This annual event celebrates the life and ministry of the Rev. Absalom Jones, the first black person to be ordained a priest in the Episcopal Church.

The Rev. Cindy Carr, Rector of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Reading, PA will be the guest preacher.

Join members of our wider diocesan family as we gather at Trinity and St. Philip's Cathedral for this uplifting celebration. Choirs from around our diocese are invited to participate in the massed choir.

This event was rescheduled from its original date of February 10, due to Winter Storm Nemo.
