Personal Statement for Seeking the Office

When God calls, I answer - sometime reluctantly, sometimes with great enthusiasm.  I seek this delegate position not for personal recognition, but because what happens at General Convention has a critical impact on the community of God's Beloved, and I am a firm believer that the rich diversity within the Episcopal church, must and always be "at the table" for a truly representative decision making body to exist.  God gifted me with a blend of experience through positions of significant responsibility in the private, public and non-profit sectors; a catalyst for driving results, combining the “big picture” with operational ability;  a consensus-builder who makes decisions with a direct communication style to solve cross-functional challenges.  I would hope that by humbly representing our diocese, utilizing the skill-sets God graced me with  and working together with others, will help us continue to do God's work for all of the Beloved.  I humbly ask for your support.
