Liturgy of Holy Saturday at St. John's, Montclair

The cross and the tomb

Holy Saturday commemorates the day between the crucifixion and the resurrection when Jesus lay in the tomb. The service is simple and moving, bookended by the drama and ritual of Good Friday, and the chaotic joy of Easter.  As such it affords us a moment to be still and reflect on the death of our Lord, on that Holy Saturday when he lay still in the tomb. (Time: 19:12.)
