With sadness we share the news of the passing of Walid Muhammed, age 98, on the night of Sunday, October 12, 2014 in Newark. Walid was the father of Cecil Broner, Building Sexton at Episcopal House.
Cecil speaks with great love and respect of his father as a wonderful man who raised 25 children. Whether they were his biological children, children he and his wife adopted, or living with the family only a short time in foster care, Cecil says Walid treated them all with the same loving care as his own.
In accordance with his Muslim faith, Walid's funeral was held yesterday, October 14.
