What does it mean to be a leader in changing times? Congregations in our diocese have faced and continue to face new opportunities and challenges in ministry. Bishop Hughes invites our parish leaders – in this case, specifically Wardens, Treasurers, and Vestry Members – to a special learning session on April 20, 2023 from 7-8:30 PM on Zoom.
Are you still somewhat new in your role as a leader? We will have helpful information for you to learn more about your role and resources for support.
Or are you an “old hand” at serving in these roles? Been on the Vestry or served as Warden multiple times in a row? Some material may be familiar, but everyone can learn something from this event.
We'll focus on what it means to be a leader in a parish, particularly on the Vestry; we'll look at some of the concrete legal aspects of serving on vestry; and we'll identify resources that can help you and your parish in ministry in our diocese.
