The youth group and Assistant Rector Melissa Hall from St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Morristown joined the many participants of the annual Hunger Walk to benefit the Community Soup Kitchen. Here, one of the walkers reports on the experience.

On Sunday, Oct. 16, I participated in something called the Hunger Walk.

First, just after our church service at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church of Morristown, I was supposed to hold up a big sign saying, “Hunger Walk.” Then people would be interested and would sign up and sometimes donate money. Did you know that 300,000 kids go to bed in just New Jersey hungry each night?
