With much prayer and anticipation, the Search/Nominating Committee is proud to share the Profile for the XI Bishop of the Diocese of Newark. A true labor of love, the Profile includes input from the greater Diocese obtained through an online survey, as well as several listening meetings held during the past few months. Although the Profile only provides a window into who and what we are, it will give you a great sense of the passion, diversity and commitment that exists in our Diocese.
If you are feeling called to become a candidate for our XI Bishop, please read our Profile, and then download the Application Form. All candidates must electronically submit the following items by Friday, November 17, 2017 (extended from Friday, November 3, 2017) in order to be considered:
- a cover letter
- a completed copy of the application form (including responses to the essay questions)
- a current resume/CV
- 3 letters of recommendation (minimum of 1 from clergy and 1 from a lay member)
- an updated OTM profile.
If you are looking to nominate someone other than yourself, you may do so; however, we ask that you speak with the person before submitting his/her name. If the person approves your nomination, you may download the Nomination Form. A nomination is not required in order to be a candidate, and the deadline to nominate someone else is Friday, November 3, 2017 (extended from Friday, October 20, 2017).
