Kathy DeWalt has graciously shared an online album of 77 photos and five videos from Christophany #11, held October 22-24 at St. Alban's, Oakland.
Forty-nine 6th, 7th and 8th graders from 18 congregations took part, along with 14 adult chaperones and youth ministers including three NEWARK ACTS interns. Activities included games, contemplative prayer, worship and sharing stories about their Christian journeys.
P.S. Don't be alarmed by the images of firetrucks at the end of the album -- the cause was simply an over-enthusiastic use of incense at the service. "The place was so filled with the Holy Spirit," said Kai Alston, diocesan Director of Youth & Young Adult Ministries, "that we set off the smoke detectors!"
