At each Diocesan Convention we remember those who have served the Diocese of Newark or The Episcopal Church, and have died in the past year, with the reading of the Necrology during worship. The Necrology remembers clergy who have served in the diocese, laity who have served the diocese or the wider church on committees, commissions, councils and other bodies, and their immediate family members. Bishops in The Episcopal Church who have died in the past year are also remembered.
Names for the Necrology should be submitted as soon as they are available by emailing them to Nina Nicholson at nnicholson@dioceseofnewark.org. Submissions can be accepted through 12 noon on Friday, May 6.
