The Bayonne Chamber of Commerce today dished out roughly $5,500 worth of groceries to a nearly a dozen local food pantries.

“I think it’s wonderful,” Rev. Rose Cohen Hassan, manager of social services at the Windmill Alliance, a non-profit organization which includes a food pantry, sponsored by Trinity Church, 141 Broadway.

“The need is so overwhelming…we fed almost 1,000 during the month of November.”
