Transition Ministry

Welcome!

Clergy discerning a call to new ministry from anywhere in the Episcopal Church are invited to contact Canon Clark and/or to submit your materials with a short cover letter describing what sort of call you believe God may be leading you towards.  You are also encouraged to set up a phone or in-person conversation to introduce yourself.

Clergy interested in a specific position receiving names must submit a Resume, OTM portfolio and cover letter (addressed to the parish or other ministry site) directly to Canon Clark. There may also be other ministry opportunities available not listed here. If interested, contact Canon Clark.

Transition Ministry in the Episcopal Diocese of Newark is broadly a four-step process, tailored for each individual parish, which may take up to 18 months. The steps are:

  1. Separation & Planning
  2. Self Study
  3. Receiving Names/Discernment
  4. Call to New Ministry
