Hi, my name is Elizabeth Ivell, and I am the Priest-in-Charge of Church of the Messiah in Chester and St Mary’s in Sparta. I have been on the ACTS/VIM Board for the last three years. I have greatly appreciated my time in the ACTS/VIM Board because it has opened my eyes to the many non profits and partners with which the diocese works in our region and around the world. Knowing the great service and work which goes on and which we have a small part in funding and supporting helps me appreciate all the gifts we have to share. The ACTS/VIM Board meets about four times a year and discusses two cycles of grants. I highly recommend being part of this board in particular, because it truly shows how much a difference our diocese, our partnerships, and our gifts make to this world. Together, we feed, we clothe, we shelter, we teach, we support, we advocate for and generally stand up for the dignity of every human being. The ACTS/VIM Board makes me proud to be an Episcopalian in the Diocese of Newark.
