Hunger is a result of lack of resources. Unemployment, low wages, and high housing costs have been identified as the major causes of hunger. But the problem of hunger is also compounded by the recent spike in food prices, and additional cuts to the benefit level of those already receiving assistance. Only when people have food adequate to their nutritional needs, can New Jersey assure that people in the state can have a safe, stable, and productive future.

What can you do to help? In this Zoom webinar, learn about the hunger food chain and what role charitable food assistance and the role of government programs play in alleviating hunger. Special Guest Jose Soto Rivera, Northeast Regional Organizer for Bread for the World, walks us through the activities available to people of faith to strengthen programs that millions of people rely on to put food on the table.
