After a one-year deployment with the Army National Guard to the Middle East, Fr. Aaron Oliver is back with his congregation at St. Gregory’s, Parsippany.
Fr. Aaron celebrated his first service back at St. Gregory’s on February 2, 2025. He presented St. Gregory’s with a flag that was flown aboard an Apache attack helicopter over Iraq and Syria.
Fr. Aaron is a Chaplain Major with the 44th Infantry Brigade Combat Team who were deployed to the Middle East in January 2024 as part of Operation Inherent Resolve. While in the Middle East, Fr. Aaron was the Battalion Chaplain for over 1500 soldiers and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for extraordinary service during this deployment.
