First Third of Life Commission
As part of the Diocese’s 2023 Strategic Vision, the Bishop formed the new First Third of Life Commission by expanding the former Diocesan Youth Commission. This new Commission focuses on formation and building relationships with people in this constituency within both the Diocese and the wider communities we serve. This broader body encompasses three affinity groups: Children & Families Ministry, Youth Ministry, and Young Adult & College Ministry, and they coordinate and collaborate through the shared Commission.

Children & Families Ministry
Engages families and their children in the life of the Church, forms them as disciples of Jesus Christ, and supports these ministries in our local parishes.
Youth Ministry
Works to invite, inspire, affirm, and equip youth in grades 6-12 as disciples of Jesus Christ and leaders in their communities, and support youth leaders.
Young Adult & College Ministry
Engages, forms, and inspires young adults 18+ as disciples of Jesus Christ to become leaders in the Church and their wider communities and supports the development of these ministries in our local parishes.
