Daily, we are bombarded by commercial messages about our bodies. Billions of dollars are spent annually to adjust, enhance, reduce, and “improve” our bodies. What if we came to know this earthly flesh as a true home of the holy, a bearer of God’s likeness, made in the image of the Divine? What will it mean to recognize, acknowledge, celebrate, and cultivate the sacred in us? Let us look, together, at how God has clothed the holy in the plain cloth of humanity.
