Wednesdays Away – Spirit Wind

Join us for Wednesdays Away, a time of spiritual renewal, one Wednesday a month from September through June. Our time together includes prayer and conversation, led by a spiritual director and focusing on a different spiritual practice or theme each month. These monthly retreats are open to all people interested in exploring new faith practices. Attend one or attend all—and be sure to invite friends to join you.

At Pentecost, the Holy Spirit is said to have come as a great wind, reminiscent of Jesus’ description of the Spirit in us (Jn 3:8). Wind carries things away. Wind fans flames, fills sails, brings rain, makes waves, and carries seeds and pollen through the air to germinate new life. How is the Holy Spirit moving like a wind in you?
