Vespers for the Season of Lent

The St. Peter’s Choir of Essex Fells and the Choir of the Church of the Holy Innocents, West Orange will join together on Sunday, March 22 at 3 pm to present a service of Lenten Vespers. The service will include choral music and meditations for the season of Lent, including music by Bob Chilcott, Handel, Mendelssohn, Undine Smith Moore, Barry Rose, and more. This is the second collaboration of the two choirs–last fall’s event featured the beautiful Requiem in D minor of Gabriel Fauré. The program will be led by Mark Trautman and Dr. Laura Greenwald.

The St. Peter’s and Holy Innocents choirs continue to offer musical events as a respite of calm and beauty to the greater West Essex Community and beyond. The event is free, and everyone is welcome!
