All youth candidates are strongly urged to attend our Confirmation Retreat. The event usually includes group-building games and activities, worship and an opportunity to meet in small groups with Bishop Hughes.

This gathering a quiet, small-group setting will enable adult candidates to build on their faith journey to confirmation, reception and/or reaffirmation.
This trip is open to all 6th-12th grade youth in the diocese, along with their chaperones from parishes.
Registration will open 9 AM Thursday, January 2, 2025, and close 5 PM Friday, March 14, 2025 or when the maximum of 20 Candidates is reached.

Anti-Sexism Training is required for all people serving in elected or appointed diocesan positions.
Bishop Hughes will lead a service of Deconsecration and Farewell at 31 Mulberry to mark its transition from serving the Diocese of Newark to serving the arts in Newark as part of NJPAC.
