We gather to listen to the invitation to nurture the God within. In the midst of the hustle and bustle of Christmas preparations, take time apart to prepare for the deeper meaning of the Christmas season.

Join us at the guest house, on the beautiful and sacred grounds of the Community of Saint John the Baptist as we gather to listen to the invitation to nurture the God within; through prayer, meditation, reflection and sharing. Theotokos, in Eastern Orthodoxy, is the designation of Mary as mother of God. The term means “God-Bearer” in Greek. We too are called God bearers, an invitation that is both daunting and exciting.

Interweave is happy to offer this advent retreat in partnership with Christ Church, Short Hills and St John’s Episcopal Church, Montclair. The Rev. Carrie Cabush and Janet Aulet Maulbeck are your retreat leaders.

Carrie is the Priest in Charge at St John’s Episcopal Church .who has a passion for inspiring others to explore their spirituality in new ways. Janet is Interweave’s director and experienced retreat guide.

Friday Overnight Option – Check in 5pm
Dinner at 6:30 and an evening prayer gathering

Saturday begins with breakfast at 8:00 am
Check out by 2pm

$140 – includes overnight lodging and 3 meals
$65 – Day Retreat includes 2 meals
