Martin Luther King Scholarship Luncheon (rescheduled)

St. Mark’s again welcomes you to its annual Martin Luther King Scholarship Event, to take place on Sunday, March 1 at 11:30 a.m. This presentation and luncheon raises funds for scholarships the parish grants to graduating high school seniors who are active in its life and work.

This year’s event is The Drum Major for Truth: Journalism and the Legacy of Dr. King. It is themed on the contributions of Black journalists. It will include:

• a live performance of Standing Tall, Telling the Truth, echoing the words of journalists Ida B. Wells and Gwen Ifill
• a delicious soul food luncheon catered by Two Fish Five Loaves
• presentation of the award-winning film Beyond the Headlines: The NABJ Journey
• panel discussion with National Association of Black Journalists leaders
• dessert
