Lay Preacher Annual Get Together

At this gathering, lay preachers can ask questions, discuss challenges, enjoy fellowship together, and hear from our speaker, Nadya Lawson.

Nadya J. Lawson (right) grew up in Brooklyn, NY, and graduated from the University of Albany-SUNY in 1993. She has spent her career working for and volunteering with social justice and advocacy organizations, non-profits, and in public service. Nadya currently works as the Director of Comparers (proofreaders) for the NYS Legislative Bill Drafting Commission. A member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Albany, Nadya received lay preacher training through the Episcopal Diocese of Central New York, and has been a lay preacher at St. Andrew’s for nearly 10 years. She is also a graduate of the Education for Ministry program.
