Kids on the Corner

Care on the Corner announces the Winter 2026 program for Kids on the Corner, a Performing Arts Program for children in grades 2 – 6. This session marks the 45^th production of Kids on the Corner. The goal of Kids on the Corner is to educate and enlighten children in different art forms and cultural experiences. The children are offered opportunities to learn about history, culture, visual arts, theater production, set design, costume design, music and acting.

The Performing Arts group meets on Fridays from 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm, February 6 – March 13, 2026. Under the direction of Cindy Summers and assisted by Amanda Giacchetti, the participants will be performing comedy sketches as part of  Act Out! Comedy Tonight! All are welcome to come out and see the performance on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 7:00 pm. This group will be meeting at the First Reformed Church, 300 Washington Ave, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ 07604.

Cindy Summers, is a 2006 graduate of the New Jersey School of Dramatic Arts acting program.  She has been working with children for more than ten years and has been teaching for six years.  She spent six years working in a preschool for children with special needs and she has taught the Ready, Set, Act!, program at New Jersey School of Dramatic Arts for several years.  In 2010, she introduced the Young Actors Workshop to help further the effectiveness of the children’s program.
