How can churches use their outdoor spaces—lawns, gardens, courtyards, even burial grounds—to honor God’s creation? This workshop will explore practical ways to care for the earth through gardens, beehives, regenerative landscaping, native species, and more.
Brian Sellers-Petersen, longtime leader in agrarian ministry and author of Harvesting Abundance, will speak on integrating creation care into worship and daily life. Breakout sessions will offer case studies, local examples, and opportunities to share ideas.

Guest Preacher at Christ Church

We look forward to welcoming Brian Sellers-Petersen as our guest preacher at the 8am and 10am services (10am will be live-streamed at www.christchurchshorthills.org/webcast) on October 19. After the service, he will lead a forum on Churchland Stewardship.
Brian Sellers-Petersen lives in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains in Roslyn, Washington. After 30 plus years working for international relief & development organizations including 18 years with Episcopal Relief & Development. His coaching and consulting practice, Faithful Agrarian, focuses on agrarian ministry, churchland stewardship, and creation care. He co-founded and served as a consultant for Good News Gardens, a joint program of the Creation Care and Evangelism departments in the Office of the Presiding Bishop. He is author of Harvesting Abundance: Local Initiatives of Food and Faith. As a part of his agrarian storytelling ministry, he co-hosts SpadeSpoonSoul Podcast with Jerusalem Greer and Jennifer Baskerville-Burrows.
