Blessing of the Animals

Bring your beloved pets—dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, and even stuffed animals to St. James’ Church in Hackettstown on the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, as we give thanks for the gift of God’s creatures and the joy they bring into our lives! Our worship begins at 9:00am at 214 Washington St. in Hackettstown. Owners are asked to bring their pets on a leash or in a cage. Father Wayne will offer an individual blessing for each pet—you can also bring pictures of pets. Come for the blessing, stay for the fellowship, and share in the love of all God’s creation! Father Wayne will later bless animals at Riverfront Park, 213 Seber Rd., Hackettstown from 11:00-11:30.
