Altar Guild Presentation

Join members of Altar Guilds from across the diocese for a presentation by Marianna Garthwaite Klaiman, a textile historian and conservator, on Saturday, October 4 at 10:00 a.m. Marianna is an Associate of the Convent of St. John Baptism in Mendham (an Episcopal convent) and will speak about the extensive collection of vestments and other church furnishings from the late 15th to the 20th centuries that are housed at the convent. She will present an illustrated lecture on these beautiful and fascinating items that she has helped to preserve for decades. Marianna’s new book “Sacristies of New York: Textile Treasures of the Episcopal Church” will be published soon. All are welcome!
