150th Anniversary Speaker Series (Zoom)

In place of the bishop’s usual winter book study for 2025, there will be a speaker series with two sessions on Zoom and two sessions in-person.

The series will be held on Tuesdays from 7-8:30 PM on the following dates:

• January 21: The Rev. Dr. Amy Peeler, Associate Professor of New Testament at Wheaton College (Zoom*)
• January 28: The Rt. Rev. Rose Hudson-Wilkin, Suffragan Bishop, Diocese of Canterbury, UK (Zoom*)
• February 4: The Rev. Dr. Kelly Brown Douglas, Canon Theologian at Washington National Cathedral (at Trinity & St. Philip’s Cathedral, Newark**)
• February 11: Mr. Ray Suarez, Broadcast Journalist, Author, and Episcopalian (at St. Elizabeth’s, Ridgewood**)

*For the two Zoom events in January, please register by the day prior. The Zoom link will be emailed the morning of the event.
**The two in-person events in February will be preceded by a reception with light refreshments, beginning at 6:15 PM.

January 21: The Rev. Dr. Amy Peeler, Ph.D.

Dr. Peeler is the Kenneth T. Wessner Professor of New Testament at Wheaton College, IL and an Associate Priest at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Geneva, IL. Author of Women and Gender of God (Eerdmans, 2022), “You Are My Son”: The Family of God in the Epistle to the Hebrews (T&T Clark, 2014), and co-author with Patrick Gray of Hebrews: An Introduction and Study Guide (T&T Clark, 2020), she continues to research, write, and speak on Hebrews and familial language in the New Testament.
