The weekend of October 10-12, youth from across the Diocese of Newark traveled to Washington, D.C. for the National Acolyte Festival at Washington National Cathedral. Our acolytes joined hundreds from around the country for a grand procession and worship service, then explored workshops and activities like creating liturgical streamers and helping build a LEGO replica of the Cathedral!
Following the festival, the group visited the National Museum of African American History and Culture and explored the Washington Monument before concluding the weekend with worship at St. John’s, Lafayette Square on Sunday morning.
