With sadness we share the news of the death of the Rev. James William “Jim” Warnke, 78, on January 12, 2026.
Jim served as an associate priest at St. Mark’s, Teaneck; St. Paul’s, Englewood; Holy Communion, Norwood; and Christ Church and St. John the Divine, Hackensack. The focus of his ministry was as a retreat leader and spiritual director, presenting many workshops in the Diocese of Newark. Read his full obituary.
His memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at St. Mark’s, Teaneck. Instructions for parking and handicapped access are posted here.
Jim is survived by his wife, Marie, his daughter Amy, his son, Dave, his daughter-in-law Amy Moore, granddaughters Beatrice and Lucia, and extended and chosen family.
