With sadness we share the news of the death of the Rev. George Brant on September 20, 2024, at the age of 103.
He served St. John’s, Dover (1950-1964), first as Priest-in-Charge and then as Rector; Grace, Madison (1964-1966) as Associate Rector; and St. James’, Hackettstown (1969-1986) as Vicar until 1979, then as Rector.
He also served on the Committee on College Work (Class of 1966); the Ecumenical Commission (1976-1979); the Liturgical Commission (Class of 1977); the Hispanic Commission (Class of 1987).

Good and gracious God, the light of the faithful and shepherd of souls, you sent your servant George to be a priest in your Church to feed your sheep with your word and to guide them by his example; give us the grace to keep the faith he taught and to follow in his footsteps. We entrust him into your unfailing mystery of Love and Hope through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
