With sadness we share the news of the death of Elizabeth Campbell “Bonnie” Magnuson, 84, on August 10, 2025 in Portland, ME.
Bonnie was a huge supporter of diocesan Youth Ministries and was a staple of active adult leadership for the youth of this diocese for more than 20 years, in addition to holding other diocesan leadership roles. Her diocesan service includes: Trustee of the Bishop Anand Resource Center (1986-1988); ACTS/VIM Board (Class of 1992); member of the Camp & Conference board (1987-1996); the Christian Education Commission (1984-2003); the Youth Ministries Board (1996-2003); the Ecclesiastical Court (2001 – 2004); Diocesan Council (Class of 2002); the Youth Commission (2004); the Christian Formation Commission (2004-2006). Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Elise and Katherine; her granddaughters, Abby and Sarah; and many friends and colleagues whose lives she touched.
A private family burial will be held next summer.

Father of all, we pray to you for Bonnie, and for all those whom we love but see no longer. Grant to them eternal rest. Let light perpetual shine upon them. May her soul and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
