With sadness we share the news of the death of Anne Hallowell Mockridge, 86, on April 15, 2026. She was the wife of the Rev. Oscar A. Mockridge III; they shared 53 years of marriage until his passing in 2017.
She is survived by son Oscar A. Mockridge IV and his wife Caroline Mockridge, daughter Kendall M. Annable and her husband Stephen Annable, and five grandsons – Henry, Brewster, and Chase Mockridge, and Spencer and Drew Annable.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Montclair History Center, where Anne had served as President of the Board.
Anne’s funeral service will be held Monday, April 27, 2026, at 11 AM at St. Luke’s, Montclair. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Newark, NJ.
Father of all, we pray to you for Anne, and for all those whom we love but see no longer. Grant to them eternal rest. Let light perpetual shine upon them. May her soul and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
