Stations of the Cross in Washington, D.C. - A witness against gun violence

Episcopalians from around the country will hold a Stations of the Cross in Washington D.C. on the Monday in Holy Week (March 25) as a witness against gun violence.

Participants will start at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Church in Lafayette Square, walk past the White House and onto the Mall, and finish at the Capitol. The walk will include prayers and meditations to help us challenge the violence in our world, and be followed by time to hear from church and government leaders. It will conclude at about 2:30 p.m.

The Diocese of Newark group will depart for D.C. at 5 a.m. from the parking lot of St. George's Church in Maplewood, and leave D.C. for the return trip at around 3 p.m.

Episcopal House is arranging for a chartered bus at a cost of $25 per person. To reserve your seat, please email Kay Lark no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 1. (No phone calls, please.)

Payment by check must be received no later than March 11. Make checks out to Diocese of Newark with D.C. bus on the memo line, and mail to Diocese of Newark, Attn. Kay Lark, 31 Mulberry Street, Newark, NJ 07102.
