All are invited to attend a Service of Celebration at St. Peter's Church in Morristown in honor of the 40th anniversary of the consecration of the Rt. Rev. John Shelby Spong as Bishop. The service will be at 3 PM, with a reception following.
Bishop Spong served the Diocese of Newark as Bishop Coadjutor starting in 1976, and then as 8th Bishop Diocesan from 1979 to 2000.
Bishop Mark Beckwith will join many leaders, both ordained and lay, in participating in the service.
