Convention Corner: The Convention Marketplace is looking for new vendors!

Convention Corner

Picture it, Convention Marketplace 2024, a bustling room filled with various exhibitors and vendors. Clergy, deputies, and other attendees strolling through the aisles learning about different organizations and shopping wares from small businesses. This year we are looking to create a new Marketplace that will provide more opportunities to learn, discover, and shop. This updated version will be a must for nonprofits and small businesses to be involved with.

The first step to growing the Marketplace is to welcome new vendors that include a variety of small business that provide goods and services not just to our churches but also to those who are attending Convention. We will also be seeking various ministries and nonprofits from across our diocese who are interested in hosting a table to share information about their important work. Of course, the highlight of the marketplace each year is the Convention gift shop! Featuring merchandise that is exclusive to the 150th Convention, no one will want to miss shopping here. In combination with the amazing vendors and organizations that will be returning from last year, the Marketplace will be a great place for everyone in attendance to experience. We are excited to start this new chapter and invite members of the dioceses to come and enjoy the marketplace.

In addition, this year we will have special free giveaways that everyone attending can take part in. More information about this and who you will find in the Marketplace will be provided here in Convention Corner in the months leading up to the big event! We ask everyone to share this information with anyone they know who may be interested in participating as a vendor or exhibitor.

In the coming months Randy Johnson in the Bishop's Office will be providing information on how vendors and exhibitors can sign up. Please send inquiries about costs and details to rjohnson@dioceseofnewark.org.
