When Bishop Hughes invited congregations during this year’s Confirmation season to support our Hispanic churches facing the extraordinary pressures of the current immigration crisis, Episcopalians across the diocese responded with remarkable generosity.
To date, the appeal has raised $37,942 to help these congregations continue their ministries to families experiencing fear, financial hardship, and uncertainty. These gifts will enable the churches themselves to determine where the need is greatest, helping them remain places of worship, welcome, and practical support for their communities.
Thank you to everyone who has already given. Your generosity is a powerful reminder that, as Bishop Hughes said, “None of us is flying solo.” When one congregation faces hardship, the whole diocese comes alongside in prayer, encouragement, and tangible support.
If you have not yet had an opportunity to participate, the appeal remains open (see online donation form below), and every gift will help strengthen these vital ministries. Together, we continue to live out the truth that God gives, we give—and in doing so, we care for one another as one Church.
