We are seeking an enthusiastic Sunday School Teacher & Digital Ministry Coordinator to help revitalize and grow our Children’s Ministry. Our goal is to transform Sunday School from a small, inconsistent program into a vibrant and welcoming experience that children look forward to attending each week.

Position Summary

The Sunday School Teacher & Digital Ministry Coordinator will create engaging weekly experiences for children using an established curriculum and help extend the ministry beyond Sunday mornings through short social media videos.

The ideal candidate enjoys teaching, storytelling, and creating memorable experiences for children. Whether your background is in education, childcare, camp programs, theater, or youth activities, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Prepare and teach weekly Sunday School lessons using an established curriculum.
Create a fun, welcoming, and inclusive environment for children.
Lead age-appropriate discussions, activities, crafts, games, and storytelling.
Encourage participation and help children build friendships and a sense of belonging.
Maintain attendance records and communicate classroom needs to church leadership.
Follow all church policies related to child safety and protection.
Digital Ministry Responsibilities

Record a weekly 5–10 minute video walkthrough of the upcoming lesson using a smartphone or similar device.
Submit video content for posting on the church’s social media channels.
Help create engaging content that encourages children and families to stay connected throughout the week.
Serve as a friendly and welcoming ambassador for the Children’s Ministry.
Growth & Ministry Development Responsibilities

Partner with church leadership to increase participation and family engagement.
Help create a positive first impression for new children and families.
Assist with family events, holiday programs, and other special activities throughout the year.
Share ideas for strengthening and growing the Children’s Ministry over time.
Qualifications

Passion for working with children.
Experience in teaching, childcare, camp counseling, youth programs, theater, or a related field preferred.
Comfortable speaking in front of groups and on camera.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Supportive of the mission and values of the church.
Successful completion of all required background checks and child protection training.
Time Commitment

Sunday teaching and classroom responsibilities.
Approximately 1–2 hours of lesson preparation each week.
Approximately 30–60 minutes of video recording and content preparation each week.
Occasional participation in ministry meetings and special events.
