DESCRIPTION:At this gathering\, lay preachers can ask questions\, discuss challenges\, enjoy fellowship together\, and hear from our speaker\, Nadya Lawson. \nNadya J. Lawson (right) grew up in Brooklyn\, NY\, and graduated from the University of Albany-SUNY in 1993. She has spent her career working for and volunteering with social justice and advocacy organizations\, non-profits\, and in public service. Nadya currently works as the Director of Comparers (proofreaders) for the NYS Legislative Bill Drafting Commission. A member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Albany\, Nadya received lay preacher training through the Episcopal Diocese of Central New York\, and has been a lay preacher at St. Andrew’s for nearly 10 years. DESCRIPTION:The Saturday Luncheon Social has been a fixture in Boonton for over 20 years. This a social event where the community can come together over food and fellowship. Everyone is welcome! \nThe luncheon is hosted by St. John’s and other local faith communities from around the area. We meet every Saturday in the Parish Hall from noon to 1 PM. \nThere is no cost to you. It is offered free of charge to the community. \nShop on Main Street and stop by for lunch. Bring a friend\, a family member\, or yourself. If you are lonely or hungry\, stop by and meet new friends. \nEnter through the red door on Cedar Street. We look forward to meeting you.
