Following up on the extremely well-received story-sharing at Diocesan Convention in January, we invite you to a day of sharing stories and listening deeply as we continue the journey of joining God in our neighborhoods. This event is open to anyone who wants to explore the power of sharing and listening to stories and how this helps us to discover what God is up to.
At this gathering we will be sharing stories of God’s presence in our lives and affirming these stories as “holy documents.” We will ground our time in listening for God in scripture, and in each other. We will see videos that create awareness and understanding of our rapidly changing world and how challenging it can be for us to stay on the journey of living into God’s mission. We will share stories of our churches – joys and challenges – and invite you to determine some next steps for working through these challenges. One step may be embarking on a journey with other congregations in 2018. Several people will share their stories of what they have learned and how the journey has deepened their lives of faith and relationships with neighbors.
Please bring your clergy person and at least two other people. All are welcome!
